Press & Media

All press memberships are complimentary. Press access is granted only to individuals approved for a current press membership, and press badges must be worn at all times while attending the event. Press will register on site at the show — onsite registration will be available at the Sheraton Grand Hotel Upper Level Conference Room.

At check-in, each person being granted a press badge must present a valid photo ID and a business card with a matching name. The business card should include your name, your organization's name, a website URL or publication information, and a valid email address and/or phone number.

With your application, please submit a link to a sample of your previous coverage — ideally prior SacAnime or Sac-Con coverage, or coverage of a similar pop-culture event within the past year. If your organization publishes physical media or produces a radio or television broadcast, an emailed file copy of the work is acceptable. Organizations must have existed for at least one year.

Press members of previous Sac Conventions must re-qualify for each event. Provided you followed all guidelines and the Press Member Code of Conduct at previous events, you will receive an invitation to re-register for subsequent Sac Conventions, including Sac-Con.

Interviews with official SacAnime guests must be requested and arranged through our Press Relations staff, and only press members may request them. Interviews are at the discretion of our guests. To request one, email press@sacanime.com. We will reach out to guest representatives to schedule interviews as their schedules allow. Requesting an interview does not guarantee that one will be arranged.

Press conference schedules will be available for small press, bloggers, and podcasters, and all registered press members are welcome to attend. Recording equipment can be stored by Press Relations staff upon request.

Interview requests directed to attendees, dealers, and guests are allowed so long as they do not interfere with the function of the convention, celebrity signatures, or dealer and guest interactions. All photos and interviews must be approved by the attendee, dealer, guest, or their representative.

While SacAnime allows the use of cameras for personal use, the convention places restrictions on where photography is permitted and the type of equipment that may be brought into the facility. If you have questions about any of these policies, please email press@sacanime.com.
